Welcome to the latest edition of CityWide, which is full of inspiring stories, local highlights and festive happenings across Lisburn and Castlereagh.
As Mayor, it has been a privilege to showcase the diversity, creativity and community spirit that make our area such a special place to live and work. Lisburn truly is a city that sees everyone. And in this edition, you’ll find just some of the ways we’re creating spaces where every voice is heard, every story is valued and everyone can shine.
We’re inviting you to have your say on the branding of the new Ice Bowl and we also share the success story of Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes. And discover the diverse range of programmes available at the ISLAND Arts Centre for people of all ages and abilities.
We’re getting into the festive spirit with our fantastic Christmas programme, which is jam-packed with events and magical moments for everyone to enjoy.
From Christmas markets to roller discos, there really is something for everyone in Lisburn and Castlereagh this season!
Our regular What’s On guide will have you filling up your calendars right through to March, and we’ve also included some seasonal safety tips and scam awareness advice to help keep you informed and protected this winter.
Over the coming months, I’ll continue to raise awareness and funds for my mayoral charity, Action Cancer, and I hope to see many of you at the wonderful festivities and community events taking place across the council area.
