LCCC Residents' Magazine : Autumn/Winter 2025

Give your old toys a new home this Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve teamed up with Habitat ReStore once again to support local families and reduce waste this holiday season.

We’re asking families to donate their pre-loved toys so they can be enjoyed by another child this Christmas. What started as a pilot in 2022 has quickly become a much-loved tradition.

By extending the life of toys that might otherwise be discarded, the scheme reduces waste and disposal costs, while saving the resources, energy and emissions involved in producing new toys. It also promotes sustainability by encouraging residents to make the most of what they already have and reduce unnecessary waste. A win-win for people and the planet!
