Summer in the city

Parents across Lisburn and Castlereagh eagerly look forward to the launch of our ‘Summer in the city’ programme.

It helps them to plan childcare or encourage their kids get out of the house and meet new friends.

Enrolment opens at 12 noon on Monday 3 June.

If you are a busy parent, guardian or carer then why not enrol them in our popular ‘Summer in the city’ programme?  Let us ensure your little ones (aged 5 to 12 years of age) beat the boredom during the summer break whilst staying social and active! You could book them into a different activity every week.

This year’s programme is jam packed with activity schemes, sports courses and camps to keep children engaged and entertained throughout the summer months.

Our summer scheme for children aged 5 to 12 years includes: coached activities, games, arts and crafts, bouncy castles and much more. Schemes will be delivered at various facilities across our area. Once again the Disability Hub at Lough Moss Leisure Centre will offer inclusive cycle sessions for all the family.

Children can also try out a new sport with a choice of Gaelic football and even ice-skating camps!

Keeping active helps improve the health and mental wellbeing of all ages and we strive to provide a variety of programmes for children.  We want them to have a chance to have fun, find a love for a new sport or develop a new skill which will inspire a lifetime of physical activity.
