LCCC Residents' Magazine : Summer 2024

Is your community resilient in an emergency?

We want our communities to be better equipped to deal with local emergencies such as severe weather, including having the resources and information to protect themselves and their properties.

Our aim is to develop resilient communities within our area by working with local community groups to bring about this change.

We will do this by:

  • raising awareness of self-help
  • helping communities to develop plans that are mindful of nearby flood plains and access issues in adverse weather conditions
  • develop an effective household pack
  • provide alert information to residents

For further information please contact the Environmental Health, Risk and Emergency Planning Service Unit on 028 9244 7397.
