Join the celebration: 25 years of ISLAND Arts Children’s Arts Festival!
If you’re already staring at the summer calendar wondering how to balance work and play, let the team at ISLAND Arts help you handle the childcare juggle.

Celebrating a quarter-century of creativity, the 2026 ISLAND Arts Children’s Arts Festival – ‘25 Years in the Making’ is pulling out all the stops for ages 5–14.
From Mon 27th July to Sat 15th August, we’re throwing open our doors for a total creative takeover. The venue transforms into a high-energy playground where kids take the lead. Our artist-led team creates the perfect space for young people to find their feet, get stuck in, and really thrive. It’s all about new skills, new friends and maximum energy.
Three unique weekly arts adventures:
- Week 1: The ISLAND Carnival Takeover (Mon 27th – Fri 31st Jul) – Don’t just watch the show, be the show! From circus skills to drama workshops, every child finds their place to shine. You’ll even exhibit your own work in the official ISLAND Arts gallery.
- Week 2: Life’s a Circus (Mon 3rd – Fri 7th Aug) – Our anniversary circus is in town and we need a crew! Learn to juggle, spin poi, and master the hula hoop. When you’re ready for a change of pace, hit the potter’s studio to spin the wheel or explore digital art.
- Week 3: Make Your Mark on the Wild ARTDoors (10th –14th Aug) – Get outside and get messy! Join our legacy project by creating an anniversary ceramic wild garden. Build hula-hoop teepees and use stop-motion animation to project your stories onto the big screen.
Every week ends with our legendary ‘Fun Friday Birthday Party’ featuring music, popcorn and cake. Festival’s grand finale takes place on Sat 15th August with ‘Fizz Whiz Pop’s Family Magic Show’ — a world of big tricks and bigger giggles for the whole family.
Good to Know:
Arts weeks run 10.00am – 4.00pm Mon - Fri at £95 per child (includes a FREE T-shirt). We offer sibling and multi-week discounts — just ask for details!
