WIN one of five Refill Goodie Bags this World Refill Day (Sunday 16 June)

World Refill Day is a global campaign to prevent plastic pollution and help people live with less waste and transition away from single-use plastic towards refill & reuse systems.

Councillor Pat Catney, Chair of the Council’s Environment and Sustainability Committee, said “We are encouraging residents and visitors to ‘Step-up for Reuse’ and eat, drink, and shop with less waste this World Refill Day, and every day.”

  • Refill your water bottle for free at any of the 10 Refill stations across Lisburn and Castlereagh. Details of the locations can be found here
  • Have your coffee on the move with a reusable hot drinks cup
  • Grab lunch on the go with your own lunchbox
  • Shop plastic-free by remembering your reusable shopping bags and selecting zero waste, loose, or minimally packaged options, where you can

To be in with the chance to WIN 1 of 5 Refill goodie-bags*, tell us what your favourite reusable belonging is in the comments on our Refill Day posts on Facebook or X. If you are not on social media, you can still enter the competition by emailing: with the subject title Refill Comp.
