Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has officially launched its summer programme of events, Park Life 2025. Packed full of free family events, the summer long programme is taking place across some of the area’s most popular parks: Wallace Park, Moat Park, Moira Demesne, Castle Gardens, and new for this year, Lough Moss in Carryduff.
The Park Life Summer Programme is bursting with exciting children’s activities and imaginative themed days. From roaring fun at Jurassic Adventures and the bright, bubbly chaos of the Messy Bug Ball, to the enchanting world of Heroes and Princess Days and the hands-on creativity of Plant and Play sessions, there’s something to inspire every little adventurer, performer, and dreamer all summer long.
Music lovers are in for a treat too with a series of free live music concerts called Sunday Sounds. From relaxing acoustic afternoons to live local bands, these open-air concerts will fill the summer air with rhythm and melody, providing the perfect soundtrack for a sunny day out with family and friends.
Councillor Jonathan Craig, Chair of the Communities and Wellbeing Committee, said: “We are delighted to welcome families and visitors to our award-winning parks this summer for our hugely popular Park Life Programme 2025. This year, we’re especially pleased to add Lough Moss to the list of Park Life venues, giving even more people the chance to enjoy these free events close to home.”
"Lisburn & Castlereagh is proud to manage over 600 hectares of open space, with many of our parks earning Green Flag Awards, a symbol of distinction in outdoor spaces. From regular success in the Best Kept Awards to setting a benchmark in outdoor excellence, our parks are leading the way in creating outstanding open spaces for everyone.”
With something happening every week throughout the summer, the Park Life Programme 2025 is the perfect way to enjoy free fun, fresh air, and family time.
