We have unveiled our fantastic itinerary of free events within the city centre this summer and are excited about the variety of events for families to enjoy together.
From engaging workshops to lively performances, there’s something for everyone to make the most of the sunny season.
Launching the summer events programme, Councillor John Laverty BEM, Chairman of Regeneration and Growth said: “Our summer events not only provide a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors but will drive economic benefits to local businesses. By bringing families and friends into the heart of Lisburn City Centre, we create opportunities for our shops, cafés, and local retailers to thrive.

Hanging basket workshops
Thursday 30th May to Saturday 1st June 2024, Various times (check your ticket)
Elevate your gardening skills with our Hanging Basket Workshop in Market Square. Discover the art of creating beautiful floral displays with provided materials. This workshop is perfect for both seasoned gardeners and beginners. Secure your spot via What's On | ISLAND Arts Centre.
Summer Tea Dances

Enjoy the charm of our Summer Tea Dances in Market Square. Dance to the lively tunes of Housty, our fabulous local band, from 2.00 pm to 4.00pm on selected dates. Each event promises old-fashioned fun and a chance to mingle with fellow dance enthusiasts.

Summer Movie Magic in Lisburn
