It’s World Refill Day and we’re celebrating the occasion by giving residents the chance to win a refill stainless-steel insulated water bottle and a recycled cotton shopping bag!
World Refill Day is a global campaign to prevent plastic pollution. It encourages people to waste less and move away from single-use plastic towards refill and reuse systems.
Alderman Owen Gawith, Chair of the Council’s Environment and Sustainability Committee, said: "Whether you’re refilling your water bottle on-the-go, using a reusable hot drinks cup for your coffee, bringing your own containers for takeaways, or shopping for packaging-free options – every swap counts”.
