Building Illumination Requests - Application Process Now Open for 2027

Our policy on building illuminations has changed. The application process for 2027 building illumination requests is now open. To view our new policy please click here.

The new policy aims to improve the process for charities and organisations requesting to light up Lagan Valley Island and Union Bridge, helping to raise awareness for your cause.

As a council, we are keen to support charities and causes, and lighting up our civic headquarters in the nominated colour is one way we can do this.

Applications for 2027 are now open until Monday 26th October 2026. Any requests submitted after 26th October 2026 cannot be accepted.
