• New grass GAA pitch developed as part of a wider leisure and social hub for the Glenavy area.
  • Cross-community activity programme for 200 participants.
  • The project supports phase 2 of a wider three-phase development at a 10-acre site adjacent to the current facilities at Crewe.
  • The completed works provide a new grass GAA pitch for local community use.
  • The pitch will be open to public bookings and available for use by other sports and community groups.
  • The new facilities include floodlights, making the pitch accessible throughout the year.
  • The project contributes to the development of a wider community, social enterprise and sports hub for the Glenavy area.
  • The programme creates opportunities for people from different community, cultural and political backgrounds to meet, take part in sport and use shared facilities.
  • The activities help participants build positive relationships through sport, shared community use and cross-community involvement.
