Councillor Caleb McCready, Environment and Sustainability Committee Chair said: “This year we are very aware of the impact we each have on the environment and are encouraging everyone to have a more environmentally conscious Christmas by wasting less and recycling more.
“I will be doing my best to minimise my impact on the environment by reducing any unnecessary waste, switching to reuse where I can and recycling fully during the festive season.
“I know that many of our residents are committed to reducing their environmental impact and I would love to hear how you will be reducing your waste over the festive season.
