All council activity centres are now temporarily closed. This is arising from the COVID-19 epidemic and is in line with guidance aimed at reducing the potential for cross infection.

Activity Centres

The Council remains committed to providing local facilities to ratepayers within their own communities. The Activity Centres located within the Lisburn area play a pivotal role for all kinds of community activity. These Centres provide locally focused recreation opportunities and promote a wide range of leisure activities to the public.

The three Activity Centres are:

  1. Grove Activity Centre - situated in Ballinderry Park at Knockmore
  2. Kilmakee Activity Centre - situated just off the main Lisburn-Belfast Road at Seymour Hill
  3. Glenmore Activity Centre - situated in the heart of the Lagan Valley at Hilden's Glenmore Park

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has developed a Child and Adults at Risk Safeguarding Policy, which applies to all employees, elected members, volunteers, contractors, grant-aided organisations and those using our facilities irrespective of their function, remit or role. It can be accessed by clicking here.
