The recently refurbished Lagan Valley LeisurePlex, complete with one of the biggest leisure pools in Ireland, competition and diving pools, the Vitality Gym and Health Suite and outdoor football factory attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year. Dundonald International Ice Bowl is one of the region's top tourist attractions and is home to the only public Olympic size ice rink in Northern Ireland, Xtreme tenpin bowling centre and Indiana Land play world all under one roof.
The Council also manages Aberdelghy Golf Course in Lisburn and Castlereagh Hills Golf Course.
Our award winning Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum tells the story of Lisburn's rich heritage and association with the Linen industry through the ages.
The Island Arts Centre based at Lagan Valley Island offers classes, workshops, arts and exhibition space as well as being a perfect venue for live performances, either in our Studio Theatre or 400-seater Performance Hall.
The City is also home to some of the very best sporting venues in the country including the National Badminton Centre, Lisnagarvey Hockey Club and Salto Gymnastics Club.
Moving outdoors, why not enjoy the recently restored Wallace Park In Lisburn. The City's Castle Gardens, Hillsborough Forrest Park, Moira Desmesne, Moat Park and Lagan Valley Regional Park are just some of the many parks and open spaces that are located through the City.
