Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council holds an annual service led by the Mayor in the Garden of Reflection in the Princess Diana Garden at Lagan Valley Island. The purpose of this service is to provide support to parents and next of kin affected by babies born asleep, babies lost through miscarriage, neonatal loss or young people who have passed away under the age of 18.

Featuring a stone sculpture and four benches, engraved with the names of loved ones who have passed away, this Garden of Reflection provides a quiet place for relatives to go and remember those that are so dear to them.

In light of the ongoing pandemic, plans for the annual service are still under review and will be subject to the public health guidance at the time.
