Lisburn & Castlereagh Local Development Plan 2032
In accordance with Section 12 of the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and Regulation 24 of the Planning (Local Development Plan) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015, Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has adopted its Local Development Plan 2032, Plan Strategy on the 26th September 2023 following resolution by full Council.
This now means that in compliance with para 1.11 of the SPPS, Operational Policies set out in Part 2 of the Plan Strategy will come into effect and the Planning Policy Statements (PPSs) will no longer apply to planning applications within the Council area.
The Plan Strategy, September 2023 and all supporting documentation including the Sustainability Appraisal Report (incorporating Strategic Environmental Assessment), the adoption statement, the report and recommendations of the Planning Appeals Commission and the Direction made by the Department for Infrastructure, are available in our Plan Strategy Documents Library.
All documentation is also available to view at the Planning Unit during normal public opening hours at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL.
