Out of hours Dog Control Service
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council's out-of-hours Dog Warden service deals with evening and weekend requests for emergency service and operates until 10pm on weekdays and from 9am to 10pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
The out-of-hours service will respond to stray dog complaints, lost and found dogs and dog attacks on people and livestock.
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Senior Enforcement Officer, Joanne MacAskill is pleased with the out-of-hours service. "The out-of-hours service enables increased regulation of the stray dog population and in turn cuts down on fouling and noise complaints.
Equally, the service enables us to respond more quickly to any complaints of attacks by dogs ensuring that dog attacks are responded to in the evenings and weekends if required. Although attacks are infrequent, people have become more vigilant recently and are reporting their concerns to the Dog Control Service. Should you need to contact the Dog Control Service out of hours (evenings and weekends) you can contact them on 07899 876081.
