Lisburn City CCTV Scheme

The CCTV system is owned and managed by Lisburn Commerce Against Crime (LCAC), a not for profit organisation.  CityWatch is funded by Lisburn City Council, the Northern Ireland Office (NIO) and the local Private Sector.

The CCTV network covers 33 cameras located throughout Lisburn City Centre, Moira, Hillsborough and Dunmurry. Public Space CCTV in Lisburn plays a significant role in detecting crime and disorder and increasing community safety and public reassurance as well as assisting the police in investigating crime. The PSNI report that the cameras and work of the monitoring officers base in the Lisburn monitoring station has assisted them in being able to bring about a considerable number of arrests and helped in numerous investigations.
