The Castlereagh Urban Framework (CUF)

The Castlereagh Urban Framework (CUF) sets out the council’s regeneration and investment priorities for the area over the next ten years and is available to view here.

Following the merger of Castlereagh Borough Council and Lisburn City Council in 2015, the Castlereagh Urban Integrated Development Framework (CUIDF) was revisited to reconsider the vision for the Castlereagh area. This new framework, now rebranded as the CUF, recognises Castlereagh as a growing Urban centre and will act as a catalyst to drive investment to the area whilst improving the quality of life for those who work and live there.
