In June 2024 Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council announced the allocation of a budget to support economic and regeneration growth initiatives for the city centre. An expression of interest process was released to the market to better understand the demand for the scheme. along with any challenges and barriers. The feedback received demonstrated a need for intervention and contributed to the shaping and development of the next stage.
Following on from this process along with consideration of the information provided, two pilot capital grant programmes have been developed to maximise the impact towards economic growth and regeneration in the city centre.
