Lisburn will host the regional Armed Forces Day event on Saturday 22nd June.
What is happening on the day?
10.15am Parade from Lagan Valley Island through city centre to Wallace Park Centre to the town centre
11.30am – 11.50am Drumhead Service in Wallace Park
12 noon First gun fire of the day
12 noon – 5.00pm Activities and live entertainment in Wallace Park
RAF Falcons Parachute Display (weather dependant) – timings TBC
5.00pm Gun fire to conclude main event
5.30pm – 6.00pm Band of the Royal Marines - Beating and Retreat
Details of a free Park and Ride facility which will operate from Queen Elizabeth II Playing Fields will be published closer to the event.
Additional disabled parking will be available close to Wallace Park. Details to follow.
Traffic and Travel Information
The parade route will be closed on a staggered basis as the parade moves through the city centre. These closures will be between 10.15am and 11.00am.
Appropriate diversions will be in place.
Parking at Lagan Valley Island will not be possible from 9.00pm Friday 21st June to 9.00pm Saturday 22nd June.
There will be no parking available in Wallace Park.
All city centre car parks will be operate as usual.
