PEACE IV Grants

PEACE IV Grants available under the theme BUILDING POSITVE RELATIONS

The Lisburn & Castlereagh PEACE IV Partnership launched its PEACE Grants Programme in December 2018. After assessing the application in January 2019, there is a small pot of funding remaining under the Building Positive Relations theme. PEACE Grants start from £15,000 and a total of £41,800 is available. Projects can run from February to December 2019. Applications that were not successful under the first round of funding, can apply again.

The grants will support locally-based projects and initiatives that will promote positive relations between people from different backgrounds and communities. The funding will allow local community groups and organisations to engage in and promote cross community relations.

The overall PEACE IV Programme will enhance reconciliation between communities, promote tolerance and respect, helping to reduce levels of sectarianism and racism. The project is supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

The specific objective for Building Positive Relations is outlined below:

  • To promote positive relations characterised by respect, where cultural diversity is celebrated and people can live, learn and socialise together free from prejudice, hate and intolerance.
