Visiting the HRCs

Step 1. Separate and sort your waste at home by type. This is important, as it will help save you time and allow you to maintain a social distance at all times when at the HRC.

Step 2. Choose the HRC closest to your home and check the opening hours on the website before you leave. It is your responsibility to decide if it is an essential journey to dispose of waste.

Step 3. When you arrive at the HRC follow any traffic signage in place, join the back of the queue of traffic and have your ID and proof of address ready to show when requested.

Step 4. Once you reach the top of the queue follow directions from staff. Dispose of your waste in the containers indicated.

Step 5. Follow the traffic signage and exit the HRC safely.

This will be a busy service; while we will endeavour to keep traffic flowing, you should expect delays in accessing facilities.  Please only visit the Household Recycling Centres if it is essential and you cannot dispose of the waste through your normal kerbside collection service.
