Bin and Box Collection

General Information

  • Bin collections begin at 6.00am. Bins should be presented at the kerbside or edge of the road with lids closed and handles out. Click here to view your collection day.
  • It is every householder's responsibility to ensure they have a landfill bin.
  • The lid of the bin should be closed to avoid damage to the bin and equipment. Please break up bulky items.
  • An 'Assisted Lift' collection can be arranged for households unable to put their bin out for collection due to illness or mobility issues.
  • Large families with 6 or more permanent residents or where additional waste is created due to a medical condition can apply for larger or additional bins.
  • Bags and boxes left beside the bin will not be collected.
  • Ensure your bin is presented safely and it does not cause an obstruction.
  • To increase bin security, please bring your bin in promptly.
  • If you need a kitchen caddy and liners (kitchen starter kits), they can be picked up from the following locations:
    • Bradford Court, Upper Galwally, BT8 6RB
    • The Cutts Recycling Centre, Deriaghy, BT17 9HN
    • Drumlough Recycling Centre, Hillsborough, BT26 6QA
    • Carryduff Household Recycling Centre, Comber Road, BT8 8AN
    • Civic Headquarters, Lisburn, BT27 4RL
  • If you require more caddy liners for your brown food caddy please place the provided red tag on your brown bin handle when leaving it out for collection.
