New park benches to mark the Northern Ireland Centenary have been placed in parks and open spaces across Lisburn & Castlereagh.
Their unique design is based on the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council NI Centenary Logo. It includes a QR Code which links to the LCCC NI Centenary section of the website where you can find out more about the Centenary Programme.
The locations include Lagan Valley Island, Wallace Park, Milne Barbour Memorial Park, Aghalee Playing Fields, Stoneyford Play Park, Moira Demesne, Lagan Park, Moat Park and Hydebank Playing Fields.
Alderman Stephen Martin, Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council said: “After planting our NI Centenary trees, the benches are a natural addition to further enhance our parks for everyone to enjoy.
“The benches were designed in house by our talented designers and parks staff as part of our year-long NI Centenary Programme.”
