Test your knowledge at the Mayor’s Charity Zoom Quiz
February 12, 2021
On Thursday 25th February at 7.30pm, the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is hosting a virtual quiz for local residents and families.
The Mayor is keen for all quiz fans to sign up, enjoy a fun-filled, brain teasing evening to help raise funds in aid of his Mayoral charities, the Lisburn Foodbank and Dundonald Foodbank. These local foodbanks are a real lifeline right now, providing much needed food supplies and support to many people living in our council area.
Speaking about the upcoming quiz, the Mayor said, “I would encourage everyone to get involved. During the current lockdown, we must take every opportunity to participate in fun events, even if they are virtual. It’s great for our mental health and wellbeing to stay connected.
“Why not test your knowledge and involve the whole family in what will be a fantastic evening! Not only will you be tested with some great questions designed by professional quizmasters, you will also have the chance to win some amazing prizes.
“On the night, we will have a variety of subjects including sport, general knowledge and film to name a few. I would be so grateful for a donation to my nominated charities and suggest £5 per team.
“I look forward to seeing a full house on the night and crowning our quiz winner.”
The Mayor would like to see over 80 quiz enthusiasts participate on the night to help raise funds to assist the two worthwhile charities. All proceeds from the quiz will be split between the two charities.
The Mayor added: “Unfortunately social restrictions have meant that I’ve been unable to arrange as many fundraising events as I would have liked over the past year. I would be delighted if you could donate what you can to support these charities to help them continue to help so many in our communities.”
