Paint Means Poo is back!
November 13, 2023
Following on from our previous successful paint means poo campaigns we are again tackling the colourful issue of dog fouling in our communities.
Paint Means Poo is a community campaign which sees community volunteers spraying dog mess with brightly-coloured biodegradable paint in order to highlight the extent of fouling and shame owners into picking up after their pets.
During the 4 week campaign community volunteers from Dreamscheme Northern Ireland and Tonagh Community Association will be participating in the campaign in Newtownbreda/Fourwinds and Tonagh respectively. Participating groups have been given all the resources to run the campaign locally and will have the opportunity to promote their own results to residents as well as on Council social media.
LCCC’s Chair of the Environmental Services Committee, Cllr Caleb McCready said, “if everyone can see how bad the problem is then dog owners should be encouraged to pick up the poo and not leave it behind in the future.”
If you would like any further information on the campaign or wish to participate in future campaigns, please contact Environmental Health on 02892447395 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
