New Fitness Suite officially opens at Lough Moss Leisure Centre

Lough Moss Leisure Centre in Carryduff has officially opened the doors of its new fitness suite, following an investment of £300,000 by Pulse Group to create a new state of the art facility in partnership with Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.
The investment in the centre has seen the creation of a modern fitness suite with cutting edge equipment as well as a choice of new fitness classes to encourage users to take their first steps to an active lifestyle or enhance their current level of fitness.
Attending the official opening, the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Tim Morrow said, “Lough Moss Leisure Centre has a proud history of serving the local community over the last 25 years by offering a host of classes and activities suitable for all ages. This includes a new state of the art boxing studio, a trim trail with outdoor gym and children’s playground, which are all recent additions to the centre over recent years.
“Sporting excellence also plays a pivotal role in the centre’s achievements with great success in a number of disciplines such as hockey, soccer, martial arts and basketball to name but a few. The centre also offers a number of specialised courses through the Safe and Well Project and Every Body Active 2020 programme to help encourage people who have been inactive take their first steps to a lifetime of sustained participation in sport.
“The Council is therefore delighted to welcome the addition of the Pulse Group to Lough Moss Leisure Centre to complement the superb range of activities and programmes available in the centre. I would like to wish the team every success and I am confident that their knowledge and support will provide a great experience for all of our customers.”
Chairman of the Council’s Leisure & Community Development Committee, Alderman James Tinsley added, “The Pulse Group is a leading provider of innovative leisure solutions, therefore their partnership with the Council provides the ideal platform to meet the needs of our customers.
“The investment in the centre has created a state of the art fitness suite, which uses the latest technology, including touch screen consoles that are connected to the TV, radio and internet, making every workout as enjoyable as possible.
“Members can also plan their workout through the use of the latest personal training software, which can record their activity inside and outside the gym, promoting a holistic approach to health and fitness.
“The introduction of Pulse therefore marks a new era of fitness for the people of Carryduff with a choice of 27 classes and memberships, that cater for young and old. I would like to take the opportunity to wish Pulse every success and I hope their partnership with the Council will inspire more people to get active and lead a healthier lifestyle.”
